The Lion on My Wall

This Lion hangs on a wall in my house. I love it! It feels like it captures some of the characteristics of our Lord: powerful, beautiful, kind, terrifying, with scars from this world.

A few years ago I felt inspired to make this frame using some old cedar that had been removed from our home. After finishing it, there were a couple of mistakes that really frustrated me – probably not noticeable in this photo!

The Lord suddenly said to me ‘My glory framed by your imperfection’. I immediately fell in love with my imperfect frame.

Frequently I find the Lord uses my every day life as an object lesson, to teach me about the deeper truths of the Kingdom.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
