From the Synagogue to the Way

When a priest, teacher, a Pharisee or a Sadducee confessed that Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ, suddenly they found themselves listening to teaching from fishermen and submitting to leaders who were ‘unschooled and ordinary’.

Peter and John were brought before the Sanhedrin to be silenced for their teaching and practice.

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

Acts 6:7
